NCDC Reports 163 New COVID-19 Infections, Discharges 24 Patients
NCDC daily COVID-19 update.

Nigeria has recorded 163 more COVID-19 cases with 24 additional patients discharged on Sunday.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC made this disclosure via its verified Twitter handle, noting that the new cases were recorded from 12 states.

Of the new 163 cases, Lagos has the highest figure of 113,closely followed by Kaduna with 21.
Others were Osun with eight, Ondo and Oyo with five, Ogun with three, Bayelsa and Taraba with two, Edo, Plateau, Katsina and FCT each having one case.

With the new infections, Nigeria now has a total caseload of 60,266. Of that figure, however, 51,735 have recovered while 1,115 have, unfortunately, died.

The agency tweeted thus: “On the 11th of October 2020, 163 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria

“Till date, 60266 cases have been confirmed, 51735 cases have been discharged and 1115 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 163 new cases are reported from 12 states- Lagos (113), Kaduna (21), Osun (8), Ondo (5), Oyo (5), Ogun (3), Bayelsa (2), Taraba (2), Edo (1), FCT (1), Katsina (1), Plateau (1).

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities”
